Sharing Samples: Muhammad Rafi Alfiansyah Sondakh Send Coconut Charcoal Briquettes Samples to Germany

On November 27th, 2023, we at Littlebriquette proudly shared a sample to Hamburg, Germany, with a request of 1 kg of coconut charcoal briquettes cube of 26x26x26 (mix of 0,5 kg Gold Grade and 0,5 kg Silver Grade). The delivery is sent by the DHL Global Forwarders via Air freight/Air Plane.

The shipper is from M RAFI ALFIANSYAH SONDAKH with a surname of Rafi Sondakh, and it delivered to one of the big companies in Germany for the purpose of observing and testing our coconut charcoal briquette product

This testing is also an opportunity for both parties to a mutually beneficial cooperation for supplying coconut charcoal briquettes in the near future. I hope that the charcoal briquette quality is reaching the customer standards and adds new business relationships.

This sampling is needed between 3-5 days of delivery, the charcoal is shipped from Indonesia to Germany. The shipment is protected by DHL regulations and features such as certification requirements of MSDS documents (Material Safety Data Sheet) and an AWB (Air Waybill) for the purpose of tracking and monitoring the products well.

The transactions of the sampling are done by Paypal with a personal bank account, and the invoice maintains a cost or expenses of the product price and also the shipment delivery cost. But thanks to the privilege of DHL membership, we kindly added the discount to the invoice to cut the price of the shipment expenses. And we proudly show that for sampling, our 1 kg coconut charcoal briquettes product is free.

Rafi Sondakh (Founder of Little Briquette) said “We give a free product price to every one of our customers who request to do sampling, with a range of 0,5 kg to 1 kg, and for the shipment cost is paid by our customers, this is normal in charcoal business, to show how actually serious our customer is.

“And if you want to request a sample from us, do not worry about the shipment expenses, because of our DHL membership, you can do a sampling of our coconut briquettes product at a more cheaper cost, allowing you to save more money. We have this DHL membership because we usually give charcoal samples routinely to different countries.” He adds.

There are several appointments that importers need to know before doing/requesting a sampling. First, they have to give their suppliers/exporters their name, address, postal code, email, phone number, what product type they request, and also the appropriate money. After that, you can hand it all to your suppliers/exporters, and just wait until the product arrives.

Muhammad Rafi Alfiansyah Sondakh added, “To do sampling, it is normal if the supplier asks for a personal bank account instead rather than a bank account, because it has more flexible transactions and does not need long regulations to obtain the money, you just need TRUST from each other.”

Charcoal briquette packing also needs to be considered, because the packing weight is also affecting the charcoal briquette’s weight limitation for delivery. Rafi Sondakh said, “As you need to know, charcoal briquette product shipment price is calculated by weight and not length, so it needs to be calculated for the packing as well because the packaging weight is included in the charcoal briquette product weight.”

It is also recommended to cover the charcoal briquettes with inner plastic, an inner box, and a small master box as well. This gives the products more protection and maintains their qualities while on the plane and also after it lands. Muhammad Rafi Alfiansyah Sondakh said “It is better to add a complete packaging of coconut charcoal briquettes, and it is better if you use a wrapper as well, and put a small note in the paper to put some information in the box for identifying the products belonging. Such as put the shipper name, to whom it delivers, phone number, email, and also to your customer address”.

This additional information is also important for the sampling delivery process to make it easier to identify, and also for protecting the goods from harmful accidents/problems.

Hope this article helps.
